On our Instagram feed, we asked you to post your favorite memories of 2013 with #masnNationals. We got a great response, with people sharing pictures of their favorite players, photos of a beautiful...

On our Instagram feed, we asked you to post your favorite memories of 2013 with #masnOrioles. Making a huge move early in the offseason with the Doug Fister trade, the Nationals continued to wheel and deal, signing Nate McLouth and trading for Jerry Blevins. With many of their offseason needs met, the Nats have mostly sat back this week, with the exception of trading Corey Brown to the A's for cash considerations. Our Dan Kolko and Pete Kerzel chased rumors and news around the Swan and Dolphin Resort, and the Nats returned from Florida with left-handed reliever Jerry Blevins and a signed Nate McLouth contract. Add this to the Doug Fister trade earlier in the offseason, and the Nats have had a very successful offseason, one that Buster Olney calls the best in the majors. To make room for McLouth on the 40-man roster, Corey Brown was designated for assignment. This...

Although rumors swirling around had the Birds linked with many names, including Raul Ibanez and Nelson Cruz, they left without much to show. In an attempt to fill the void left by the Jim Johnson trade, the Orioles put a two-year offer on the table for closer Grant Balfour. In addition,...

Winter Meetings sets baseball apart from the rest

Winter Meetings sets baseball apart from the rest
LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - There's really no way to describe the Winter Meetings to someone who doesn't follow baseball and have it sound....sexy. Family or friends who aren't into sports hear what goes on and they generally react with the same half-hearted response. "Ohh, that's sounds, um, fun." I guess it's not totally their fault. Describing the logistics and setup of the Winter Meetings in a personal ad probably wouldn't sweep too many people off their feet. The idea of a...
