For Nats-O's interleague games, no more combined MASN broadcast teams

MASN is eliminating the combined broadcast booth featuring talent from both the Nationals and Orioles on-air teams. Instead, each team will get its own broadcast with its own broadcasters. Yard Work: Restocking grounds crew is an annual offseason process
Camden Yards is a gem, a rare baseball cathedral that blends classic, retro style with today's version of the national pastime. Each month during this offseason, Orioles Buzz will check in with McFadyen to see what's happening on the field at Camden Yards as the grounds crew prepares for the 2014...

Jimenez's demeanor: a little shy, but confident and focused
If you thought new Orioles right-hander Ubaldo Jimenez looked a little overwhelmed by all the attention at his introductory press conference this morning, you might be interested in the reason why. During his time with the Rockies, I dealt with Jimenez a couple of times while freelancing for MLB.com. I found him to be a confident, intuitive player, though one who was a little on the shy side. In my experience, he's a guy who cares more about pitching well, helping his team and being a good...

Stop me if you've heard this one before: The Nationals' plan to move their spring training base to Fort Myers is in jeopardy. Hernandez hoping Nats extend a job offer
Even before his Nationals career was over, Livan Hernandez was talking about how he'd like to return to the organization once he had thrown his last pitch. He wanted to be able to work with young pitchers, impart the knowledge that helped him forge a 17-year major league career, five of those seasons spent in a Washington uniform (and two before that north of the border with the Expos). Now it appears that dream may become a reality. Appearing at NatsFest on Saturday, the 38-year-old...

Any role Nats throw at him is fine for Roark
Whatever the Nationals want him to do is just fine with Tanner Roark. "If they want me to throw one pitch to one guy, I'll do it," he said. "Anything to help out the team. It's a different mindset. Starting, you've got four days to prepare yourself. Relieving, you flip that switch right away once you hear that phone ring. Everybody looks back to see who's name will be called. But I like starting, I guess." Coming off a spectacular 2013 campaign where he went 7-1 with a 1.51 ERA in 14...
