Homestand highlights June 16-22

Following a six-game road trip, the Washington Nationals return home for two three-game sets against the Miami Marlins and St. Louis Cardinals, and one rescheduled game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Single-game tickets for all Nationals home games are on sale now at nats.com/Tickets. 

This homestand features several exciting events and promotions, including the first of two Racing Presidents bobblehead giveaways, Juneteenth recognition, Italian Heritage Night, U.S. Army Day, Value Day and more.

FRIDAY, JUNE 16 vs. MIAMI MARLINS (7:05 PM ET)

• U.S. Army Day presented by Raytheon Technologies

o   During Branch Days presented by Raytheon Technologies, the Nationals dedicate a special game to honor and celebrate each of the six branches of the military, as well as the National Guard.

o   Representatives from the U.S. Army will participate in the pregame ceremonies and the Salute to Service.

• Racing Presidents Bobblehead: Teddy and Abe

o   The first 20,000 fans will receive a Teddy and Abe Racing Presidents bobblehead.

o   Fans can return to the park on Saturday, August 12, against the Oakland A’s to complete the set and receive the George and Tom bobblehead.

• MacKenzie Gore Autograph Signing

o   Nationals pitcher MacKenzie Gore will sign autographs in the Team Store from approximately 2:40–3:10 p.m.

• Budweiser Happy Hour Entertainment

o   DJ The Vibe Conductor presented by Budweiser performs at the Budweiser Terrace beginning two hours before first pitch.

SUNDAY, JUNE 18 vs. MIAMI MARLINS (1:35 PM ET)

• Sally's Night presented by the Smithsonian Institution’s National Air and Space Museum

o   The Nationals join the National Air and Space Museum for Sally’s Night to celebrate and honor the 40th anniversary of astronaut Sally Ride's historic spaceflight, and all women in STEM.

o   The game will feature several fun STEM-themed activations, including tables from the Air and Space Museum in Sections 103 & 121, the Team Store and the Budweiser Terrace escalators.

• Youth Baseball and Softball Day presented by Inova Sports Medicine

o   With the purchase of a special ticket, youth baseball and softball players will have access to an exclusive pregame Q&A with Nationals outfielder Lane Thomas.

o   The Q&A will take place from 11:40 a.m.-12:00 p.m. behind the Nationals dugout.

• Kids Run the Bases presented by Harris Teeter

o   Kids ages 4 through 12 are invited to run the bases after Sunday day games, weather permitting.

• Signature Sundays

o   Two Nationals players will sign autographs for fans at every Sunday home game all season long. Autographs will take place at the top of the Nationals dugout starting one hour prior to first pitch, weather permitting and subject to player schedules.

o   Fans must obtain a free voucher in order to participate in the autograph sessions – vouchers will be distributed on a first come, first served basis at Section 103, starting when the gates open 90 minutes before first pitch.

• Father’s Day

o   Children of Nationals players will throw out the ceremonial first pitches to their dads to celebrate Father’s Day.

MONDAY, JUNE 19 vs. ST. LOUIS CARDINALS (4:05 PM ET)

• Juneteenth

o   Fans are invited to join the Nationals and the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture in recognizing Juneteenth at Nationals Park.

o   With the purchase of a special ticket, fans will receive an exclusive Nationals Juneteenth t-shirt.

o   $5 of every special ticket sold will be donated to the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture.

• Italian Heritage Day

• The Nationals will celebrate Washington D.C.’s Italian community during the sold out Italian Heritage Night.

THURSDAY, JUNE 22 vs. ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS (1:05 PM ET)

• Due to poor air quality in the Washington, D.C. area, the final game of the Nationals-Diamondbacks series, originally scheduled for June 8, was postponed and rescheduled for Thursday, June 22. First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. ET.

o   All tickets and parking passes from the originally scheduled June 8 game will be honored for the rescheduled game.

2023 SCOTTS MLB ALL-STAR GAME VOTING

• The 2023 Scotts MLB All-Star Ballot is now available, giving fans the chance to vote for which Nationals players will represent D.C. in the 2023 All-Star Game in Seattle.
• All-Star voting is broken down into two phases:

o   Phase 1 Voting – May 31 through June 22: The first phase of voting allows fans to vote daily for all players on MLB.com.

o   Phase 2 Voting – June 26 through June 29: Once the first phase of voting is complete, the top two players at each position per league, plus six outfielders, will advance to the final week of voting to determine the All-Star starters.

• During Phase 1, fans can vote up to five (5) times in any 24-hour period on MLB.com. Fans can vote (1) time in any 24-hour period during Phase 2.

CANCER ISN’T KUHL T-SHIRTS

• The Nationals Team Store now carries exclusive Tiny Turnip-brand t-shirts, supporting the Cancer Isn’t Kuhl initiative.
• Breast cancer awareness t-shirts will be available in the Nationals Team Store beginning Friday, June 16.
• 100% of net proceeds benefit the Cancer Isn’t Kuhl campaign created by Nationals pitcher Chad Kuhl and his wife, Amanda, in partnership with Nationals Philanthropies. The campaign supports local nonprofits Breast Care for DC and The Previvor.

KIDS EAT FREE

• Kids ages 12 and under can receive a free meal including a hot dog, chips and bottled water at all Nationals home games through Sunday, Sept. 3.
• Kids meals are available via mobile ordering on the MLB Ballpark app at select concessions locations throughout the ballpark. The offer is redeemable once per game per child by selecting the Kids Eat Free meal and using the code KIDSEATFREE in the app. Children must be present to pick up their meals. o   To select the Kids Eat Free meal in the MLB Ballpark app, scan any QR Code or open the MLB Ballpark app and tap on Mobile Ordering.

o   From the Food & Drinks tab on the app, select any stand that says “Kids Eat Free Promotion Available Here.” Once the concession stand has been chosen, select and customize the meal through the “Kids Eat Free Meal” option.

NATIONALS PHILANTHROPIES 5050 RAFFLE

• The 5050 Raffle is available at all home games this season, offering fans the chance to win big cash prizes while supporting the community impact work of Nationals Philanthropies. New ticket prices and additional prizes give fans more ways to win.
• Online ticket sales will open three hours before first pitch, and tickets will also be available inside Nationals Park at the kiosks located by sections 108, 138, 243 and 312 or from roving sellers through the middle of the 7th inning.
• Tickets can be purchased using cash, credit and debit cards at the following price points: 5 for $10, 20 for $20, 100 for $40, and 300 for $100.

CYCLE REVERSE VENDING MACHINES

• As part of its involvement in Anheuser-Busch’s National Recycling League, Nationals Park is the first Major League Baseball stadium with Cycle Reverse Vending Machines.
• Located near the Budweiser Brew House and next to the Budweiser Terrace, fans can win rewards in exchange for recycling their empty beverage containers at these machines.

o   Fans insert empty beverage containers at the machines and scan a QR code to receive a unique transaction ID. After entering information in the web app, users will find out instantly if they have won along with instructions on how to redeem their prize.

o   A grand prize is given out every game, and the top recycler each homestand receives a special gift.

TICKET DEALS

• The Nationals offer popular special ticket offers to help fans save on their next trip to Nationals Park. The offers include:

NATIONALS PARK ENTRY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

• Water Bottles

o   Nationals Park allows clear, factory-sealed or empty plastic water bottles no larger than one liter. Metal and glass water bottles are not allowed, nor are frozen water bottles.

o   Only one water bottle per person is permitted.

o   Water bottle refill stations are available throughout the ballpark.

• Bag Policy

o   All bags larger than a clutch must be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and may not be larger than 16 x 16 x 8 inches.

o   Fans may bring a clutch (5” x 7” x ¾” or smaller) in addition to or instead of a clear bag.

o   Fans with diaper or medical bags may use ADA/Family lanes at the Center Field and Home Plate gates to have their items inspected.

o   Binbox is available for fans whose bags do not comply with ballpark regulations.

GETTING TO THE BALLPARK

• Parking options for Nationals fans start at $20 and are available online at nats.com/Parking. Fans are encouraged to purchase parking in advance to ensure a space in their desired location.
• Fans using Metro to travel to or from Nationals Park are encouraged to review the Metro schedule at wmata.com/Schedules.
• Fans should also consider alternate forms of travel to and from the ballpark, including the D.C. Circulator from Union Station, biking to the ballpark, or the baseball boat from Alexandria. Visit nats.com/WayToGo for information on parking and transportation options to Nationals Park. To receive up-to-date WMATA service notifications on a mobile device, fans are encouraged to register for Alert DC at http://hsema.dc.gov/page/alertdc.
• Fans traveling to the ballpark should be aware that there are construction projects underway in the surrounding area. To ensure safe crossings, please be mindful of signage and directions given by public safety officers. 

BALLPARK SAFETY

• Nationals Park is a completely non-smoking and tobacco-free facility per District of Columbia law. There is no exception for electronic cigarettes or any other type of smoking device, or for smokeless tobacco or any other type of tobacco product.
• MLB and the Nationals require that all people entering Nationals Park walk through a metal detector or be screened with handheld metal detectors to search for prohibited items. This includes a thorough inspection of all jackets, coats, packages, bags, purses, and any other containers brought to any of the Nationals Park entry gates.
