So if you think you enjoyed the Orioles 60th anniversary celebration after the game on Friday night, check out how Adam Jones felt about it.
"The Orioles, and it starts at the top, they outdid themselves," Jones said. "During the last decade-and-a-half or something, I'm sure it's been difficult to get that group together. But, for one night, Peter (Angelos) did ... that was big league. Every facet of it was big league.
"I'm sure the old time guys appreciated it and the younger players like myself and everyone in uniform, we got a newfound appreciation for what these guys really did do while playing this game."
Frank Robinson said he appreciated the respect the current Orioles showed the O's Hall of Famers. Jones said those players certainly do have the current players' respect.
"You have to have an appreciation for what these men have done before you," Jones said. "They put down the foundation for this game that is today. And we have to do the same for our future generations."
It was quite a scene after the game as the current Orioles mixed with the O's Hall of Famers. The proud Orioles past met the players presently producing an exciting 2014 season.
That exciting season's latest chapter played out last night as the Orioles hit three more homers in an 11-3 rout of the Yankees. Toronto lost 11-1 at Seattle so now the O's once again have a six-game lead on Toronto and New York is seven games back.
Is it possible that the Orioles are going to run away with the American League East crown?
