Orioles-Nationals game postponed (updated)

WASHINGTON - Tonight's game between the Orioles and Nationals has been postponed due to rain.

The game will be made up on Aug. 4, a mutual off-day for the teams. The Orioles will fly to Toronto at the conclusion of it.

The delay lasted about 2 1/2 hours before the Nationals finally called the game.

More information will be available later tonight, including how the postponement impacts the Orioles rotation. Bud Norris probably will be pushed back to Wednesday night against the Nationals at Camden Yards, followed by Wei-Yin Chen on Thursday.

This is the fifth postponement for the Orioles in 2014.

Update: Orioles starters are pushed back a day. Norris goes on Wednesday and Chen on Thursday.

Doug Fister will start Wednesday for the Nationals, followed by Gio Gonzalez on Thursday. Tanner Roark won't make his first career start against the Orioles.
