Orioles renew partnership with WSBA

The Orioles today announced a multi-year partnership with NewsRadio 910 WSBA to air Orioles baseball in York, Pa. WSBA aired Orioles baseball in Central Pennsylvania from 1988 through 2006. The Orioles then made the switch to WOYK 1350, where Yorkers listened to Orioles games for the past three seasons. But after a brief separation, the O's and WSBA have renewed their partnership, and starting again this season, WSBA will air regular season games, select spring training games (starting in March), game highlights, team reports and player interviews. "WSBA and the Orioles have a great history," said WSBA General Manager Todd Toerper. "We are excited to re-establish our relationship with the team and look forward to providing an exciting season of Orioles baseball." There has long been a strong Orioles fan base in York and other areas of south-central Pennsylvania, something the team acknowledged with the placement of an addition team store in the York Galleria Mall, where fans can purchase game tickets and official team merchandise. "The Orioles are fortunate to have a strong following in central Pennsylvania," said Orioles Director of Communications Greg Bader, "and the strength of WSBA's commitment to cover the team ensures that our fans in the region will be able to closely follow the O's when they are unable to make it to Camden Yards." The partnership with WSBA brings the number of Orioles Radio Network affiliates to 40 stations throughout Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
