Orioles to host youth baseball clinic this Saturday at Ed Smith Stadium

On Saturday, May 24, Orioles players and coaches will conduct a baseball clinic on the main field at Ed Smith Stadium for 50 children from the Roy McBean Boys & Girls Club in Sarasota. Participants will assemble at 12:30 p.m., and on-field activities will begin at 1:00 p.m. with instruction in pitching, hitting, fielding, throwing and baserunning. The Oriole Bird will also be present and refreshments will be provided to all participants. Media covering the event may park in the East Lot at the corner of 12th Street and Tuttle Avenue and enter through the Left Field Gate. Orioles minor league players scheduled to participate include right-hander Bobby Bundy, catcher Jonah Heim, right-hander Steve Johnson, right-hander Sean McAdams and right-hander Nik Nowottnick. Coaches will include Orioles Hall of Famer Scott McGregor and minor league field coach Scott Thomas. McAdams was selected by the Orioles in 2013 out of Sarasota's Cardinal Mooney High School. "This is the second in a series of youth clinics the Orioles will conduct this year at Ed Smith Stadium," said David Rovine, Vice President of Orioles-Sarasota.
