Weekend Odds and Ends

Please come join us at Crystal City Sports Pub on Saturday evening as we watch the Nationals take on the Marlins from Miami. Ben Goessling is hosting his first get-together to talk to fans this weekend and you don't want to miss it. Meet us at Sports Pub (in Arlington, accessible my Metro) at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Make sure to go RSVP! Nationals PR pro Lisa Pagano, who is also running for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Woman of the Year, is hosting a Kentucky Derby Party at Sports Pub beginning at 3 p.m. The cost is $15, with proceeds benefiting her fundraising campaign. Over ten weeks, Lisa has committed to raising $75,000 toward blood cancer awareness and research. The Derby party will feature drink specials, appetizers, amazing raffle prizes, chocolate bourbon pecan pies, mint juleps and more. RSVP on Facebook. Lisa's campaign has a few more great events coming up over the next few weeks. One of the fundraisers is a Mets vs. Nats game on May 20th where $8 from each ticket purchased through Lisa's campaign will go directly to LLS. Check out these events and her campaign at standuptakenotice.com. Speaking of good deeds, MASN is partnering with the National Association on Mental Illness (NAMI) for their annual walk to raise money for awareness and treatment. The NAMI Walk takes place on Saturday in Druid Hill Park in Baltimore. Lastly, I will be doing a live podcast interview with "Throwing Like a Girl" on Sunday evening. You can tune in at 6:30 p.m. or listen to the archived version.
