Will the O's have a good weekend against a struggling Giants team?

The Orioles begin a key weekend series in San Francisco tonight, but the Giants don't have a record like the Giants teams that won the World Series in 2010 and 2012. They are 51-63 and have lost four of their last six, and nine of their last 14 games. San Francisco is 3-8 against the American League and just 7-17 in its last 24 home games. Some other O's and Giants notes: * Chris Davis is batting .488 (20-for-41) in 11 interleague games, with six doubles, five homers and nine RBIs. His slugging percentage is 1.000, and his OPS is 1.543. He is trying to become just the second player to bat .500 or better in interleague play (minimum 35 plate appearances) in a single season. Kansas City's Joe Randa hit .508 in 1999. * Adam Jones is 12-for-24 over his last six games, with three doubles, a homer and five RBIs. Jones went 7-for-9 in the two-game series at San Diego. * The Orioles rank first in Major League Baseball with 152 homers. The Giants rank 29th with 68 home runs, ahead of only Miami with 64. Davis and Jones have combined to hit 64 homers. * The Giants have scored the fewest runs in the majors since June 1, with 188 runs over 60 games for an average of 3.13 per game. They have averaged just 2.7 runs per game since the All-Star break. * The Orioles have gotten three consecutive quality starts from Wei-Yin Chen, Bud Norris and Miguel Gonzalez. They have given up seven earned runs over 19 innings for an ERA of 3.32. * The Orioles are 30-26 on the road, 33-25 at home, 7-4 against the National League and 21-12-4 in 37 series. * Chris Tillman can break a tie for the second-most wins in the majors if he gets a victory tonight. Detroit's Max Scherzer leads the majors with 17 wins. Tillman has 14 along with Oakland's Bartolo Colon and Tampa Bay's Matt Moore. The last Oriole to win 15 games was Erik Bedard in 2006. * Over his last 11 starts, Tillman is 10-1 with an ERA of 3.54 with eight quality starts. With a win tonight, Tillman would be the first Orioles starter to win 11 times in a 12-start span since Steve Stone won 11 times from June 30-Aug. 23, 1980. * Giants starter Ryan Vogelsong has been out since May 20 and on the 60-day disabled list. He comes off the DL to start tonight. He was hit in the right hand and suffered a broken pinky finger when he was plunked by Washington's Craig Stammen in a game on May 20. Vogelsong has pitched four times in the minors on rehab outings, going 2-1 with a 1.72 ERA. He went six innings, allowing one run and throwing 85 pitches in his most recent outing.
