Deja vu: Watch Max Scherzer throw his second no-hitter of 2015

He did it again.
From the moment Nationals right-hander Max Scherzer took the bump at Citi Field, you had a feeling he might do something special. He struck out the first two batters of the game and then went on to strike out 15 more.
His 17 strikeouts tie the most by a pitcher in a no-hitter since 1900, according to ESPN Stats & Info, and the Mets' only baserunner reached on an error by third baseman Yunel Escobar.
It took Scherzer just 109 pitches to shut out the Mets, 80 of which were strikes. Let's review that again: 17 strikeouts on just 109 pitches.
From the sixth through ninth innings, Scherzer set down nine straight Mets on swinging strikeouts to put him just one out away from history. Curtis Granderson worked a 2-2 count before hitting a soft pop-up. Escobar got under it, recorded the out and it was on.
