PHILADELPHIA - Scott Hairston is not here at Citizens Bank Park just yet, but he is on the Nationals' lineup card and is expected to be in uniform tonight.
Tyler Moore is not on the lineup card, and while the roster move is not yet official, he'll be optioned to Triple-A Syracuse to make room for Hairston.
Moore is batting .151/.195/.283 this season, and will now been optioned to Syracuse for the second time in a month. Since returning from Triple-A in late June, Moore went 1-for-11 with one home run.
Dan Haren returns from the disabled list and will get the start for the Nationals tonight. Haren had missed the last 15 days while dealing with right shoulder inflammation, but he and the Nats feel he's responded well to both a cortisone shot in the shoulder as well as the time off.
Haren threw a simulated game at Nats Park on Wednesday and then a bullpen session on Friday, and said that he felt great during both. We'll see.
In 15 starts this season prior to landing on the DL, Haren posted a 6.15 ERA and allowed 19 home runs.
Update: Moore has officially been optioned, and Haren has officially been activated off the DL to start tonight.
The Nats will face old buddy John Lannan tonight.
