Homers cost Fister in Nats' 4-1 loss

Nationals right-hander Doug Fister cruised through the Braves order the first time around, giving up just a walk to Cameron Maybin in the opening inning. Maybin bothered Fister in the fourth again, this time delivering Atlanta's first hit to trigger a big inning.

Juan Uribe stepped to the plate with the green light and mashed a 3-0 fastball deep over the fence in center for back-to-back home runs.

The Braves added a fourth run in the frame when starter Matt Wisler helped his own cause with a clutch two-out RBI single to right.

Danny Espinosa has the Nationals only hit through the first five innings against Wisler.

Update: The Braves did all their damage in the fourth against Fister, who gave up four runs on seven hits with two walks and four strikeouts over six innings.

The Nationals finally got on the scoreboard in the seventh on an RBI single from Denard Span off Braves right-hander Nick Masset.

Left-hander Felipe Rivero will pitch the seventh for the Nats.

Update II: Rivero gave the Nats two scoreless innings in relief.

The Braves end a nine-game losing streak against the Nationals with a 4-1 win.
