On the third day of Strasmas...Ozzie Guillen came to NatsTown. Make sure to follow the outspoken White Sox manager on Twitter this weekend. He's pretty entertaining.
After Strasmania tonight, the Nats have plenty of weekend activities planned to celebrate Father's Day.
On Saturday, winners of a Father's Day essay contest will be honored on the field during a pregame ceremony.
It's also the first bobblehead giveaway of the season. The first 15,000 fans to attend Saturday's game will receive a Ryan Zimmerman Gold Glove/ Silver Slugger bobblehead courtesy of PNC Bank.
Also, on Saturday morning at 8 a.m., the Nats will host Nats U, a baseball clinic for women. The cost is $50 and tickets are still available: www.nationals.com/natsu.
Sunday's game will support the Prostate Cancer Foundation. Nationals players and on-field personnel will don blue wristbands and blue ribbon logos on their uniforms during Sunday's game. Fans can also visit www.prostatecancerfoundation.org to make a pledge for each home run hit during 60 select MLB games through June 20, including all games played on Father's Day.
Additionally, the Nationals will conduct a Father's Day Tie Drive. Fans can donate new and gently worn ties at the Nationals Park Center Field Gates beginning at 11:00 a.m. through the fourth inning. The ties will be donated to Career Gear, a nonprofit that serves disconnected and underserved men in the D.C. community.
The first 20,000 fans will take home a travel mug presented by MASN HD.
After the game, fathers can run the bases with their children and play catch on the field at Nationals Park.
