A possibility on who will manage Double-A Harrisburg next season and AFL Fall Stars recap

With Matt LeCroy moving on to become the Nationals bullpen coach, there will be some alterations in the minor league coaching lineup. I have been told there will be some changes, but not a lot of new faces. The Nationals have made a habit of promoting from within and I expect that to be the case this upcoming season. LeCroy told me he has been ecstatic the past few days after being offered the position. He said he has faced Matt Williams as a player, but has not coached with him. However, he very much is looking forward to the opportunity to work with Williams. LeCroy believes the relationships he has forged the past few seasons coaching the Nationals' young pitchers will help him as he takes on his new challenge in the bullpen. Former Nationals prospect Robby Jacobsen tweeted that he really appreciated Lecroy as a manager while he was at high Single-A Potomac. So who will be the manager at Double-A Harrisburg next season? None of this is confirmed, and this is just one possibility, but my educated guess is that they will reward the coaches in the system. It is possible that Brian Daubach would move to Double-A Harrisburg and Tripp Keister would go to high Single-A Potomac. GCL Nationals champion skipper Patrick Anderson could then move up to low Single-A Hagerstown. This assumes that Tony Beasley remains as manager for Triple-A Syracuse. AFL Fall Stars recap: The Arizona Fall League Fall Stars Game went to the West 9-2. Former Nationals prospect Alex Meyer notched the win, going three innings, allowing three hits and no runs while walking one and striking out three. East Stars center fielder Brian Goodwin went 1-for-5. He was caught stealing once and struck out once. Catcher Adrian Nieto went 0-for-1 and scored a run. The West Stars crushed five home runs, two each from Brett Nicholas and Stefen Romero. The West led 6-0 before the East scored a run in the seventh frame. Heading into the second half of the season, the Mesa Solar Sox (12-8-1) are clinging to a 1 1/2-game lead in the East division. Salt River (11-10) is close behind, followed by Scottsdale (7-14). Mesa has gone 5-8 since a 7-0-1 start. The Solar Sox next play against Salt River at 8:35 p.m. on Monday.
