After latest win, the Orioles are now on a 103-win pace

West Coast, East Coast. Home or road. American League East or outside of the division. Doesn't seem to matter much. The Orioles' relentless pursuit of winning carried on Friday night at Fenway Park.

The Orioles' 11-2 blowout of the Red Sox improved their record to 89-51 (.636). An 11-11 finish would net them 100 wins, but for now, they are on a 103-win pace.

Two O's teams ever won that many:

* 109 wins in 1969
* 108 wins in 1970

Remember those March over/unders that listed the Orioles at 76.5 wins for this year?

The Orioles maintained their four-game lead atop the AL East over the Tampa Bay Rays. The Birds are now one win shy of their first 90-win season since 2014, when they won 96 games and their most recent AL East title.

The O's magic number to win the division is now 18.

The Orioles have not lost an AL East series since April 9 against the Yankees, and one more win in Boston this weekend would see them at 10-0-2 over the last 12 division series. They are 27-15 for the year in AL East games and 25-11 in their past 36 division games.

When you think about this team and postseason awards, Gunnar Henderson seems to be closing in on the AL Rookie of the Year award, and a 100-win season would just about clinch Manager of the Year, you would think, for Brandon Hyde.

And now right-hander Kyle Bradish could get some Cy Young consideration. I doubt he'll be able to finish with enough stats to win that, but he might get some down-ballot votes.

The AL right now features 13 pitchers with 11 wins or more, with Kyle Gibson at 14 (and tied for the AL lead), Dean Kremer at 12 and Bradish at 11 among that group.

Last night Bradish provided the O's another outing of six innings while allowing just two runs. He is 11-6 with a 3.03 ERA and the team is 18-8 in his starts, winning the last seven.

Bradish, who has thrown five straight quality starts, is 9-4 with a 2.33 ERA over his last 15 starts since June 14.

The Orioles had one win by one run on their road trip but now have six straight wins that have come by four, three, three, one, seven and nine runs. That is because in those wins they scored seven, eight, six, five, 10 and 11 runs.

After losing last Friday night at Chase Field in Arizona, the O's division lead was down to 1 1/2 games. Now their lead is four games.

During a six-game win streak, the Orioles have scored 47 runs on 74 hits with 17 doubles, a triple and seven homers. The team batting line in the six games is .319/.392/.491/.883. And they have gone 27-for-76 (.355) with runners in scoring position.

In going 15-4 the past 19 games, the Orioles have scored 128 runs for 6.74 per game. They have hit .302/.362/.478/.840 in those 19 games, during which their team batting average for the year has risen from .250 to .258.

The Orioles extended their streak of not being swept in a series to 85.

They have won eight of 10, 12 of 15, 15 of 19 and 26 of 36 games. So that is a 26-10 run, and that is .722 baseball over the 36 games.

This team is charging down the stretch and it has to be discouraging to the Rays. They are doing just about everything to keep winning, even without some key players, but then they watch the O's keep winning.

When the Rays were rolling off win after win deep into June, Birdland must have wondered whether they'd ever lose. Now the Rays and their fans must be thinking the same of the Orioles.
