Tim Beckham is coming off the disabled list today and starting at third base as the Orioles open their series against the Mariners. A corresponding move will be announced later.

Beckham is batting eighth against Mariners right-hander FÃ©lix HernÃ¡ndez.

Mark Trumbo is the designated hitter and cleanup hitter, and Chris Davis is behind him batting fifth.

Caleb Joseph is catching.

The Mariners are 1-6 over their last 7 games. Kyle Seager ranks second in the majors with 33 RBIs on the road, trailing the Astros' Evan Gattis (38).

Former Oriole Nelson Cruz was named American League Player of the Week after going 12-for-24 with two doubles, a triple, three home runs, eight RBIs, two walks, eight runs scored and a 1.580 OPS in six games.

Dariel Ãlvarez, recovered from Tommy John surgery that halted his conversion from outfielder to pitcher, retired all three batters he faced tossed a scoreless and hitless inning today in his debut in the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League and was credited with the win.
