The Mariners are 1-6 over their last 7 games. Kyle Seager ranks second in the majors with 33 RBIs on the road, trailing the Astros' Evan Gattis (38).

Former Oriole Nelson Cruz was named American League Player of the Week after going 12-for-24 with two doubles, a triple, three home runs, eight RBIs, two walks, eight runs scored and a 1.580 OPS in six games.

Dariel Álvarez, recovered from Tommy John surgery that halted his conversion from outfielder to pitcher, retired all three batters he faced tossed a scoreless and hitless inning today in his debut in the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League and was credited with the win.
