Comments from McLouth, O'Day, Davis, Jones and more after the O's Game 2 win

Here is a sampling of some comments tonight from a victorious Orioles clubhouse after the 3-2 win evened the American League Division Series at 1-1. Darren O'Day said he was confident in Jim Johnson: "I could tell last night he was going to be fine. A lot of guys would be feeling sorry for themselves. But I was in the training room after the game, joking with him about fantasy football. He laughed at my stupid jokes, which really aren't funny, so I knew he wasn't dwelling on it and he was ready to move on." Manny Machado on the clubhouse today: "Same. Same way we've been all year. Nice and relaxed and confident." Nate McLouth on what makes this O's team special: "I just think there are a lot of things. You look at the attitude of not letting outside things ... for example, that this is the playoffs doesn't affect the way we go about things or the way we execute because you can start thinking (too much) sometimes and none of that happens around here and that is really important." McLouth on the atmosphere at Camden Yards tonight: "It was great. Really from before the first pitch, it was electric both nights and an absolute joy to play in front of fans like that." McLouth said the players want to win for the fans: "There is no question about that. Especially with it being so long since playoff baseball was here. You can feel how bad they want to win and it's great to play in front of that." Chris Davis on driving in two runs in the third inning: "That was huge for us. The name of the game right now is to keep the momentum in your dugout. Obviously, with two outs you load the bases right there, you want to get those runs in and that was big for us at that point." Davis on Wei-Yin Chen: "Outstanding. That is what he's doing all year. We had the right guy in the right spot tonight and he didn't let us down." Adam Jones on Ichiro Suzuki scoring in the first inning: "When I saw (Robert) Andino throw the ball, I thought, 'We got him.' But he never ceases to amaze me. The man can still play at 38 and he's out there playing like he's 25." Jones on Johnson: "You put him in a one-run game, that is when that sinker is the best. He had the top of the lineup, (Derek) Jeter, Ichiro and A-Rod, three Hall of Famers. He set them down 1-2-3, it was not an easy task, but Jim Johnson is up for a not easy task." J.J. Hardy on the crowd: "Electric. It's been fun to play in front of our fans like this. As loud as they are getting and as much orange as we are seeing, the stadium is a lot of fun." Hardy on whether this a must-win: "I don't think we looked at it as a must-win, but it was definitely an important game to even the series. We definitely didn't want to be 0-2 going to New York. But I don't think we put too much pressure on ourselves as if it was a must-win, no." Some other notes on the victory: * The Orioles went 1-3 against New York in the regular season in one-run games, but won by that margin tonight. They are 30-9 this year in one-run contests. * The Orioles' starting pitchers in the playoffs have pitched to an ERA of 2.04 allowing just four earned runs over 17 2/3 innings. * The Orioles improve to 48-33 all-time in playoff games. In three ALDS, they are 7-3. * Davis drove in two runs tonight. He is now 5-for-12 in the postseason. Over his last 10 games, he is batting .378 (14-for-37) with seven homers and 15 RBIs. * Matt Wieters and Jones were a combined 0-for-15 in the playoffs, but both went 1-for-4 to get their first postseason hits.
