Espinosa and Moore updates from Syracuse

Second baseman Danny Espinosa has played two games for Triple-A Syracuse as he recovers from a wrist injury. He has been subbed out after two or three at-bats in each game by Will Rhymes. Espinosa is hitting .200 (1-for-5) in two games with two runs, no walks and two strikeouts. Left fielder Tyler Moore has started three games, and is hitting .182 (2-for-11) with a double, one homer and seven RBIs. He has had six RBIs in the last two games. Moore has struck out five times. Numbers are important, but it is also crucial for each player get as many games as possible in a row, Espinosa for his wrist and confidence on offense and Moore to return to the consistency that helped him put up big numbers last season. Espinosa is also looking to strengthen his wrist to the point where he doesn't feel it when he swings and then work on his hitting after struggling with the Nationals. Espinosa and Moore are both getting good at-bats, and the repetition of playing every day will help them to hopefully get into a nice rhythm at the plate.
