Game 27 lineups: D-backs at Nats

The Nationals left 10 men on base in Friday's series opening loss to the Diamondbacks, 5-4. They had 11 hits in the game and scored only four runs. Arizona had only six hits, left only two men on base, and were just 1-for-3 with runners in scoring position, but managed to push one more run across for the win.

The Nats were just 2-for-9 with runners in scoring position. The team is 11-15 overall and 3-8 at home. Is it time for Nationals manager Davey Martinez to get frustrated?

"I don't get frustrated. It's part of it, but at some point it'll turn around and we'll start cashing in. I really believe that," Martinez said. "As long as we keep getting on base, keep working good at-bats, when those big moments arise, they'll come through. They will.

"I'm not going to bash them, they're playing hard. We've had opportunities, we're not winning games but they're doing well. We've got to get that big hit. Like I said 10 guys left on base, 11 hits, you should win a ballgame. We didn't, we just got to keep plugging away."

The Nats turn to right-hander and former D-backs starter Jeremy Hellickson (0-0, 4.50 ERA) Saturday afternoon. He is opposed by left-hander Patrick Corbin (4-0, 1.89). Corbin has not lost a regular season game since September 18, 2017 (against the Padres. Hellickson pitched for Arizona in 2015, going 9-12 in 27 starts with a 4.62 ERA. Michael A. Taylor is back in the lineup this afternoon after dealing with a minor groin injury. Howie Kendrick is in the cleanup spot, Ryan Zimmerman is batting second against Corbin.
