Gary Allenson, Brad Komminsk and two others not returning to Orioles in 2013

Brad Komminsk, the manager of the Orioles' Double-A Bowie affiliate from 2008-10, will not return to the organization for the 2013 season. Komminsk was a field coach at short-season Single-A Aberdeen in 2012 and the year before that was the batting coach for Triple-A Norfolk. Gary Allenson, the manager this season at Aberdeen, also will not return. Larry Jaster and Cesar Devarez will also not be retained for next season as part of some restructuring within the Orioles' baseball operations. Allenson was the manager at Norfolk for five season before taking over at Aberdeen. Allenson took over as Orioles third base coach on June 4, 2010, and served in that role for the remainder of that season. Jaster has been a pitching coach in the organization for 16 seasons and in 2012 was the pitching coach for the Gulf Coast League Orioles. It was his third stint in that role and from 2008-10, he was the pitching coach for the club's Florida operation. Devarez has been in the organization for eight seasons as a field coach for several teams.
