David Hernandez picked up his third win and Nick Markakis went 2 for 4 with a homer and 3 RBI as the Orioles beat Boston 6-2 Sunday to salvage the final game of the series.

With the win, the Orioles ended a five-game losing streak and 11-game losing streak at Boston. They end their road trip with a 2-7 record. Hernandez followed up an excellent outing in New York with another at Fenway Park. Over seven innings he gave up just five hits and one run, throwing 110 pitches. Hernandez gave up just two runs over 13 innings at Boston and New York. In his last four starts, he is 2-0, 2.45. He improved to 3-2, 3.20 on the year. Markakis, batting cleanup for the first time all year, had a 3 RBI game. Nolan Reimold was 2 for 4 with an RBI double and went 7 for 10 in the weekend series. Felix Pie had two hits and an RBI and Brian Roberts had two hits and scored twice. Losing pitcher John Smoltz falls to 1-4, 7.04 after allowing six runs over five innings. The O's, who host Kansas City Monday night, picked up their first win of the season in a game at Boston or New York after going a combined 0 for 12 at the two parks.
