J.D. Martin plans to mix it up today vs. Pale Hose

Nationals starter J.D. Martin (0-2, 4.19) given the task today to snap the team's 4-game losing skid fresh off one of his toughest outings of the season.
Martin went 7 and 2/3rds at Cleveland last Saturday night, but got roughed up in the second inning, allowing four runs off five hits, including a two-run double by Carlos Santana.
"When I get in trouble in games is just when I am missing my spots and eaving the ball up. So I need to focus on keeping the ball down and locating my pitches."
Despite the early trouble and playing in an American League park, the Nats did not have to pinch hit for Martin to get a new pitcher in the game so he lasted for awhile. Over the next 5 and 2/3rds innings, Martin gave up only two runs on four hits.
J.D. told me he would like to mix in more breaking balls and not use the fast ball too much to prevent the White Sox from getting used to seeing it.
Martin will be opposed by Chicago's righthander Jake Peavy who makes his 14th start of the season and is 5-5, 5.62 ERA.
