Keegan Akin has made it back to the majors.
Whether he's back in the bullpen or moved into the rotation hasn't been revealed.
The Orioles placed Wade LeBlanc on the 60-day injured list this afternoon with a left elbow stress reaction, ending his 2020 season after only six starts. Akin has been recalled from the alternate camp site in Bowie as the roster replacement.
The 60-man pool is down to 57 players.
LeBlanc, 36, left Sunday's game against the Red Sox after throwing 14 pitches. He motioned to the dugout and was replaced by Thomas Eshelman with two outs in the top of the first inning.
Signed to a minor league deal on Feb. 1, LeBlanc registered an 8.06 ERA and 1.567 WHIP in 22 1/3 innings while pitching for his eighth team. The Orioles will provide more information on the injury later today and whether he's set to undergo a surgical procedure.
LeBlanc threw a curveball to Christian Vázquez and walked off the field with assistant athletic trainer Mark Shires. Kevin Pillar homered on the second pitch.
The club scheduled an MRI for LeBlanc yesterday and the results led him to the 60-day injured list.
Eshelman retired 13 batters in a row and tossed 4 1/3 scoreless innings, leaving him as a candidate to replace LeBlanc in the rotation. Akin also could be under consideration.
Akin, 25, made his major league debut on Aug. 14 against the Nationals and allowed three runs in three relief innings in a 15-3 loss.
