Lough headed to disabled list

NEW YORK - Jemile Weeks is headed to New York, and he apparently will take outfielder David Lough's spot on the 25-man roster. lough-in-cage-spring-training sidebar.jpgI'm hearing that Lough is headed to the disabled list. He didn't play today in the Orioles' 14-5 win over the Yankees. Lough didn't start against New York right-hander Ivan Nova, an unusual occurrence judging by the early pattern established by manager Buck Showalter. Nelson Cruz started in left and Delmon Young served as the designated hitter. Young collected three hits, including his first home run. Lough, acquired from the Royals over the winter for infielder Danny Valencia, is 2-for-19 with a triple, RBI and two runs scored in five games. He's also 2-for-2 in stolen bases. Lough went 0-for-3 with a walk yesterday. No idea what's hurting Lough, but he's going to be part of a roster move.
