Minor league injury updates on Solis, Taylor, Rivero, Kobernus and Renda (Solis arrival update)

Left-hander Sammy Solis threw four innings Monday in Florida and the club's offseason facility and everything looked good, according to a team source.

Solis' velocity is there. He is playing extended spring training games against teams from the Braves, Astros and Tigers.

Solis had a minor back strain right before end of spring training which set him back.

Update: A Nats source confirms that Solis will likely headed north, presumably to Double-A Harrisburg in the next week.

Harrisburg centerfielder Michael Taylor tweaked his knee a little bit in a game versus Reading over the weekend. The source said Taylor is fine and is going to be all right, and the Nationals are expecting more information today.

Pitcher Felipe Rivero has an arm injury. Doctors are assessing the situation.

Triple-A Syracuse infielder Jeff Kobernus (hand) is on the 60-day disabled list and is working out in Florida, rehabbing as planned. He is not taking part in baseball game activity yet. The injury is to the side of his hand and finger. He is lifting, running and exercising.

High Single-A Potomac infielder Tony Renda had a minor quad issue and has been out since April 11. He is playing in games in Florida. He is progressing well and should be back very soon.
