Mora doing more in the community

Even as the Orioles' season winds down, there are still O's events to look forward to in the area, such as the Mora family's charity golf tournament coming up in early October. Melvin and Gisel Mora will host a charity golf tournament at Bulle Rock in Harve d Grace on Tuesday, October 6. The tournament includes a continental breakfast during registration, complimentary driving range balls, beverages and snacks provided throughout the course during play, Hours d'oeuvres, an open bar, an Awards Luncheon, prizes and more. Be ready to hit the registration table, driving range and breakfast table between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and have your forms filled out and your plate clean by the 9:00 a.m. shotgun start. The tournament will be a Captains Choice format, and all golfers will have a chance to win a new car by sinking a hole-in-one on the designated hole. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, third, middle, and last place and for the longest drive and the closest to the pin. Registration for an individual golfer is $500 and a variety of sponsorship opportunities are available at prices ranging from $150 to $10,000. Registration and fee are due by Monday, September 28, 2009. Money raised from the event will benefit the Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital.
