The Nationals announced a big haul of minor league All-Stars today.

andrew-stevenson-lsu-bunting-sidebar.jpgFrom the high Single-A Potomac Nationals, right-hander Ryan Brinley, left fielder Alec Keller, center fielder Andrew Stevenson and third baseman Drew Ward have been named 2016 Carolina League mid-season All-Stars.

From the low Single-A Hagerstown Suns, right-handers Mariano Rivera III and Jefry Rodriguez, second baseman Max Schrock, third baseman Kelvin Gutierrez and outfielder Victor Robles all made the South Atlantic League All-Star team for the Northern Division.

Hagerstown manager Patrick Anderson and Suns coaches Amaury Garcia and Sam Narron will coach the Northern Division squad.

Brinley has gone 2-0 with a 0.81 ERA in 17 appearances. He has recorded nine saves with 24 strikeouts and only four walks.

The 24-year-old Keller is hitting .294 through 50 games with eight doubles, three triples, one homer, eight stolen bases and 37 RBIs. The 17th-rounder was born in Richmond, Va., and attended Princeton.

Stevenson, 22, out of LSU, is hitting .312 through 54 games. He has 10 doubles, five triples, one homer, 20 stolen bases and 16 RBIs.

Ward, 21, is hitting .313 through 49 games with 14 doubles, nine homers and 24 RBIs.

Rivera, whose father and namesake set the all-time major league saves mark for the Yankees, is 3-0 with a 2.57 ERA. He has four saves in his first full professional season.

Rodriguez was talked about a lot by my sources during spring training and he has excelled as they had predicted. He is 5-2 with a 2.67 ERA in 11 starts with 48 strikeouts.

Schrock, 21, played college baseball at South Carolina. He is hitting .324 in 55 games with 15 doubles, two triples, four homers, 18 stolen bases and 28 RBIs.

Dominican Robles, 19, is hitting .326 with seven doubles, three triples, five homers, 16 stolen bases and 26 RBIs.

Gutierrez, 21, also from the Dominican Republic, is hitting .293 with 12 doubles, three triples, one homer, ten stolen bases and 33 RBIs in 56 games.

The North meets the South Division June 21 for the South Atlantic League All-Star Game in Lexington, Kent.

The high-A Carolina League-California League All-Star Game will be held June 21 at Lake Elsinore, Calif.
