O's game blog: Miguel Gonzalez on the mound in Miami series finale

After a very frustrating Saturday night that ended in a 1-0 loss in 13 innings, the Orioles will need a win today to avoid losing the series to Miami.

The Orioles are now 7-19 all-time against the Marlins in interleague games and are just 2-12 in Miami. The O's have lost seven of the eight series the teams have played all-time.

Miami is 17-27 and ended an eight-game losing streak Saturday night. It was just the second win in the last 13 games for the Marlins.

The Orioles were shut out for the third time last night with all three games coming in Florida, the first two at Tropicana Field. The O's offense went just 1-for-10 with runners in scoring. They had several scoring chances early on, but not many late as the O's went just 2-for-22 in the last seven innings last night with a bloop hit and an infield hit.

In five home games, Koehler is 1-1 with a 1.61 ERA while he is 1-2 with a 6.53 ERA in road games.
