Orioles announce details for LGBT Pride Night at Oriole Park on June 27

In celebration of LGBT Pride Month, fans are invited to attend LGBT Pride Night at Oriole Park on Wednesday, June 27, when the Orioles take on the Seattle Mariners at 7:05 p.m. ET. LGBT Pride Night Theme Night ticket packages, which include a ticket to the game and an O's pride cap, are available for purchase at www.orioles.com/LGBTpride. A limited number of VIP ticket packages also remain, which include a game ticket, an O's pride cap, and access to a pregame party on the Center Field Roof Deck beginning at 5:00 p.m. The VIP party will feature music from local DJ ROSIE HICKS, as well as food and beverages, including an open bar.

As part of the LGBT Pride Night celebration, the Orioles will welcome retired Major League umpire Dale Scott to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Scott, who is gay, retired in 2017 following more than 30 years in the game. Scott will join MLB Vice President and Special Assistant to the Commissioner Billy Bean and other special guests for the VIP pregame party on the Center Field Roof Deck. Bean is a senior advisor to the MLB Commissioner on human rights issues, with a particular focus on LGBT and anti-bullying efforts. Bean became MLB's first Ambassador for Inclusion in 2014 and has since made countless appearances across the nation addressing different clubs and players about diversity, inclusion, and social responsibility.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy a pregame, on-field performance by the Baltimore Men's Chorus beginning at 6:30 p.m. Select members of BMC will also sing "This Land Is Your Land" during the seventh inning stretch.

A portion of proceeds from each LGBT Pride Night ticket package will benefit Moveable Feast, a Baltimore-based nonprofit that provides nutritious foods and other services in order to preserve quality of life for people with HIV/AIDS and other life-threatening conditions. Additionally, The Orioles Team Store will have select pride-themed merchandise on sale, including keychains, patches, and koozies.

"Moveable Feast is honored to have been chosen as the official charity partner for the Orioles' first LGBT Pride Night. We are proud to stand with the Orioles and their work to be inclusive in our community," said Christian Metzger, Executive Director of Moveable Feast. "The cheers that the Orioles players thrive on are not distinguishable between color, gender identity, or economic status. It takes all of us together to cheer the O's on all season long."

As part of the Birdland Community Heroes program, the Orioles will recognize Paulette Moore, Moveable Feast Medical Transportation Driver, as a Birdland Community Hero on Wednesday night. Moore, who is retiring from Moveable Feast after 18 years with the organization, has worked with thousands of clients, delivering meals, providing transportation to medical appointments, and offering his service, support, and friendship. The Orioles will also make a $2,500 donation to Moveable Feast and host the organization the Community Booth near Gate D.

The Orioles have partnered with the Washington Blade, the oldest LGBT newspaper in the country, covering the latest gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender news in Washington D.C., and around the world, to promote LGBT Pride Night. LGBT Pride Night is one of many new theme nights scheduled throughout the 2018 season to further engage with Birdland's diverse fan base. Several new events have debuted or will debut this season including Star Wars™ Night, The Sandlot Movie Night, Paint in the Park, Yoga at the Yard, and Bark at Oriole Park. The Orioles will also host popular returning events including Game of Thrones® Night, Father's Day Catch on the Field, Birdland Social, and will offer a special Senior Day ticket package.
