Orioles lineup vs. Marlins (O's make roster move)

MIAMI - The Orioles have reinstated infielder Everth Cabrera from the 15-day disabled list and optioned infielder Rey Navarro to Triple-A Norfolk.

Paredes Young high five white.jpgWith the Orioles in Miami, they lose their designated hitter for the next three games. However, hot-hitting Jimmy Paredes will remain in the lineup at second base. The Orioles will attempt to win in Miami for only the second time in 13 games. This is their first visit to Marlins Park.

The lone win in Miami came on June 9, 1999, a 4-2 victory at Pro Player Stadium. B.J. Surhoff and Jeff Conine hit home runs.

The Orioles are 149-176 since interleague play started in 1997. They set a franchise record for wins last season while going 12-8.

Bud Norris is starting Game 1 of today's doubleheader at Triple-A Norfolk. First pitch is slated for 5:05 p.m.

According to Elias, Steve Pearce is only the third Orioles in the last 10 seasons to hit a grand slam in the first inning, joining Melvin Mora (2006) and Ryan Flaherty (2012).

Manager Buck Showalter is (1,277) is four wins away from tying Whitey Herzog (1,281) for 35th on the all-time list. Frank Selee (1,284) is 34th.

Mike Weaver, son of Hall of Fame manager Earl Weaver, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch Saturday. He will be accompanied by Earl's widow, Marianna.

Former Orioles pitcher Brad Bergesen has signed with the independent York Revolution.
