Pearce out of Orioles lineup tonight

BOSTON - Nolan Reimold is in left field tonight and Drew Stubbs is in right, as the Orioles face left-hander Drew Pomeranz in the second game of their series against the Red Sox.

Steve Pearce is out of the lineup after feeling another twinge in his right forearm/elbow area last night on a throw to second base.

Reimold is making his first start since Sept. 3.

Mark Trumbo is the designated hitter tonight. Matt Wieters is catching.

Manny Machado back gray.jpgManny Machado hit his 35th home run last night to tie his career high set last year. He's 11-for-29 with two home runs and seven runs scored this season in seven games at Fenway Park.

Machado is batting .396 (21-for-53) with a double, triple, five home runs, 13 RBIs and 11 runs in his last 12 games. In his last 34 games, he's hitting .313 (45-for-144) with seven doubles, 13 home runs, 31 RBIs, 26 runs and a .984 OPS.

The Orioles have homered in 23 of their last 25 games. They fell last night to 66-43 when hitting two or more home runs.
