Post-game Notes: O's fall at Fenway

Since the O's scored 21 runs on 37 hits in the three-game series at Chicago to start this trip, the O's have struggled on offense. In the last four games of this trip, they have scored just 10 runs on 31 hits with only seven extra-base hits. The O's were 0 for 6 tonight with runners in scoring position and are 3 for 29 over the last four games with RISP. Markakis made a rocket throw and Matt Wieters made a great one-hop catch than nearly crushed Ellsbury on the tag. The O's have recorded five outfield assists over their last six games and an AL-leading 23 on the season. Road Woes Continue - The O's have now lost ten in a row at Boston, their longest losing streak ever at Fenway. They are 1-6 on this trip and 15-33 on the road on the year. They are just 1-15 on the year on the road vs. the AL East. They are 0-11 this year combined at Boston and New York. The O's fall to 1-7 on the year vs. Boston, including a mark of 0-5 at Fenway Park. Of the seven losses, six have come by two runs or less. The Red Sox have won 10 of the last 11 games between these teams. Boston improved to 24-11 this year vs. the AL East, including a 17-3 mark at home.
