Post-game Notes: Sox sweep O's

After scoring 10 runs on 24 hits in the first two games of this series, Boston produced 18 runs on 23 hits on Sunday. They ended the series with 28 runs on 47 hits. Boston's 18 runs and 23 hits are season highs. The O's staff actually allowed more runs once this year when Texas scored 19 vs. the O's on April 15th. The O's 23 hits allowed was a season-worst. Jones hit his 18th homer of the year today, he had nine all of last year. Brian Roberts went 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI. He is now 10 for 26 during a six-game batting streak. Roberts double in the 7th was his 299th career two-base hit. The O's fall to 2-11 on the year vs. Boston, including a 1-5 mark at home. They have lost nine straight series to the Sox and have lost 18 of the last 21 with Boston.
