Reimold agrees to terms, and so does Pearce

So far, the Orioles haven't pulled off any trades or surprises as the deadline approachs to tender contracts to their arbitration-eligible players. In fact, the Orioles haven't made any announcements, but they've reached agreement with outfielder Nolan Reimold on a one-year, $1.025 million contract, according to an industry source. I've heard that Reimold's deal includes incentives based on plate appearances or at-bats that could add another $175,000. Reimold, who made $1 million this year, is recovering from a second surgery to fuse two vertebrae in his neck. He was limited to 40 games, batting .195/.250/.336 with three doubles, five homers and 12 RBIs. The Orioles will tender contracts to their other eligible players - first baseman Chris Davis, catcher Matt Wieters, pitchers Jim Johnson, Bud Norris, Brian Matusz, Troy Patton and Tommy Hunter, and outfielder Steve Pearce - if agreements can't be reached. That's the most important aspect. These guys remain under team control. Johnson was the subject of further trade speculation today, with FOX Sports reporting that the Orioles were working hard to move him. He earned $6.5 million this year while going 3-8 with a 2.94 ERA and 50 saves in 59 chances. Davis made $3.3 million and history this year, batting .286/.370/.634 with 42 doubles, one triple, 53 homers and 138 RBIs. He won a Silver Slugger Award and finished third in Most Valuable Player voting in the American League. Wieters batted .235/.287/.417 with 29 doubles, 22 homers and 79 RBIs. He made $5.5 million this year. Norris went 4-3 with a 4.80 ERA in 11 games (nine starts) after the Orioles acquired him from the Astros at the non-waiver trade deadline. He made $3 million this year. Matusz earned $1.6 million while going 2-1 with a 3.53 ERA in 65 games. Left-handers batted .168 against him. Patton made $815,000 while going 2-0 with a 3.70 ERA in 56 appearances. Hunter went 6-5 with a 2.81 ERA and four saves in 68 games. He was paid $1.82 million this season. Pearce, who earned $700,000, batted .261/.362/.420 with seven doubles, four homers and 13 RBIs. He was limited to 44 games due to a wrist injury. Dates for arbitration hearings will be assigned if the sides can't reach agreement. Thanks for the support you showed me" Not sure what happened, but it appears that he's no longer in the organization.
