Skole, Hague, Demny and Higley highlight Nats' prospects Wednesday work

Low Single-A Hagerstown Suns lost to Delmarva 8-4, but got a three-run homer from third baseman Matt Skole, who now has a league-leading 18 round-trippers. Billy Burns swiped three bases to raise his season total to an amazing 28. Taylor Hill went six innings and allowed three runs to improve to 8-4. Ricky Hague smacked his fourth homer, and Michael Taylor and Hague combined for four hits as high Single-A Potomac beat Wilmington 7-4. Trevor Holder pitched 7 2/3 innings and allowed two earned runs with six strikeouts. Adam Carr got four outs for his first save. J.R. Higley crushed a grand slam as short-season Single-A Auburn shut down Jamestown 7-0. Ben Meyers(@citizenmeyers)of the Auburn Citizen, tweeted that the Doubledays now have scored 61 runs in 10 games, best in the New York-Penn league. Mark Teahan went 4-for-4 for Triple-A Syracuse. Paul Demny (6-4) went seven innings and allowed one run on five hits with nine strikeouts and one walk, firing 102 pitches with 63 for strikes, as Double-A Harrisburg dropped Altoona, 5-2. Henry Rodriguez, on a major league rehab assignment, faced four batters in the eighth inning, striking out two and walking one.
