Solis roughed up in rehab for Harrisburg (Update: Solis reinstated and optioned)

Double-A Harrisburg's offense opened up to drop New Britain 9-6. The win snapped a seven-game losing streak.

Five Senators had multi-hit performances. Wilmer Difo went 3-for-5, Tony Renda 2-for-5, Brian Goodwin 2-for-4, Matt Skole 3-for-5 and Brian Jerolman 2-for-5. Harrisburg totaled 14 hits.

Skole hit his ninth homer and finished with four RBIs.

Austin Voth (3-4) went six innings for the win, allowing three runs on four hits, with no walks and eight strikeouts.

Toledo dropped Triple-A Syracuse 11-7. Taylor Jordan (1-3) struggled, allowing eight runs in 1 2/3 innings on six hits with walk, three strikeouts and one home run. Toledo scored eight runs in the second inning.

Syracuse center fielder Darin Mastroianni crushed a three-run shot, his third homer of the season.

High Single-A Potomac right-hander Reynaldo Lopez (3-3) took the loss in an 11-3 setback to Carolina. Lopez did not finish three innings, allowing a season-high seven runs, six earned, on eight hits and two walks. He did reach 101 mph with his fastball.

Christopher Bostick's 13-game hit streak came to an end, but he did register two walks and was hit by a pitch.

The Hagerstown Suns will have three players in the 56th South Atlantic League All-Star Game on June 23 in Asheville, NC. They are right-hander Austen Williams, right-hander Drew Van Orden and infielder Grant DeBruin.

Williams is 6-1 and has a 1.65 ERA. Van Orden is 2-1 with a 1.85 ERA over nine games. DeBruin is hitting .317 with 59 hits and 27 RBIs.

Update: The Nationals announced Solis has been reinstated from the 15-day disabled list and optioned to Double-A Harrisburg. This provides room on the roster for right-hander David Carpenter, who was acquired from the the Yankees for minor league infielder Tony Renda.
