RHP Chris Tillman (1-2, 4.58) tonight will make his 7th Major League start of this season, his 3rd at home and the 1st of his career vs. Cleveland. Tillman, who has allowed 3ER or less in five of his starts, has lost his last two outings vs. Tampa and Minnesota. Tillman first two starts: 6.75 ERA Tillman last four starts: 3.65 ERA Right-handed batters are hitting .314 off him while lefties bat .246 vs. Tillman. He has recorded three quality starts and the O's are 2-4 when he starts. Tillman has allowed 38 hits over 35 1/3 innings, including nine homers, on the year. In two home starts, he is 1-0, 4.76. LHP Jeremy Sowers (5-9, 4.93) tonight will make his 17th start of the season, his 8th on the road and the 6th in his career vs. Baltimore. The 26-year-old is 1-2, 5.68 over his last three starts. He has recorded six quality starts among 16 starts on the year. Sowers was a first-round pick, taken 6th overall out of Vanderbilt in the 2004 draft. He gives up an average of .346 on pitches 51 through 100. In seven road starts, he is 3-4, 5.62. The Indians are 5-11 when he starts.
