Weekly Wrap: Will the Orioles make a big trade to start off the new year?

Happy 2014, Orioles fans! After watching the O's offseason get off to an extremely slow start, I'm sure many of your New Year's resolutions include something along the lines of "Watch the Orioles make a big move." The holidays and 2013 are over, but there are still many big-name free agents available. However, in the past, the Orioles have not been aggressive when it comes to free agency. Although the Orioles are still looking for starting pitching, they do have a solid list of pitching prospects, as listed by Baseball America. paul-blair-sidebar-thumb-240x240-3044.jpgIn sad and unfortunate news, Orioles great Paul Blair passed away the day after Christmas. While I am too young to have ever seen him play, I have heard stories from my family and from diehard Orioles fans about how great he was and how he made chasing down flyballs in the outfield look easy. I wish that I could have seen Blair stand in shallow center field before taking off. Blair will be honored with a memorial service open to the public today in Towson.
