What's happening so far (updated)

Triple-A Norfolk's Jake Arrieta has allowed one baserunner, on a walk, over the first two innings tonight against Gwinnett. I'm just saying... The Orioles got their first hit off Yankees starter A.J. Burnett on Ty Wigginton's two-out single in the second inning. History won't be made here tonight. Adam Jones led off the bottom of the first by grounding to short, but he ran the count full, so at least he was patient. The Yankees took a 1-0 lead in the top half on Derek Jeter's leadoff single, Mark Teixeira's double and Alex Rodriguez's sacrifice fly. Double-A Bowie pitcher Zach Britton and catcher Caleb Joseph are visiting the press box. I hadn't met Britton until tonight.

I joked that Saturday's starter hasn't been announced and there might be a reason why Britton is here, but he probably shouldn't work on one days' rest. He offered to do it anyway. Joseph is playing air drums between innings, apparently finding a song he likes over the PA system. You have to see it to truly appreciate it. Update: Adam Jones lined a single into center field in the third. Good to see. Still just the one walk from Jake Arrieta through three innings. Corey Patterson is starting in right field for the Tides after playing center last night.
