The Arizona Fall League announced their 2015 rosters Tuesday and the Nationals' entrant, the Salt River Rafters, includes seven Nationals prospects.
The Rafters will be managed by high Single-A Potomac manager Tripp Keister. He guided the P-Nats to the 2014 Mills Cup by winning the Carolina League title.
Nationals pitchers include Double-A Harrisburg right-handers Dakota Bacus and Abel De Los Santos, plus left-hander Nick Lee. Also on the roster is right-hander John Simms from Potomac.
The Rafters will carry three catchers including high Single-A Potomac backstop out of Clemson Spencer Kieboom.
A pair of highly touted infielders in the system have been invited to play in the Arizona Fall League.
Shortstop Wilmer Difo, who was called up to the Nationals for a few weeks earlier in the season, will get to hone his skill by extending it in the AFL.
Further, left-handed hitting third baseman Drew Ward, who was also at Potomac, will play for the Rafters.
The rest of the roster includes players from the Diamondbacks, Rockies, Blue Jays and Mets. Salt River will play their games at Salt River Fields in Scottsdale, Arizona. First game is October 13 at home versus Scottsdale.
