A look at the minor league rosters and pitching rotations

A new minor league season will begin tonight for three of the four Orioles full-season affiliates. Double-A Bowie, Single-A Frederick and Single-A Delmarva will get its seasons going while Triple-A Norfolk plays its opener on Friday night.

Bowie, managed by Gary Kendall, hosts Harrisburg at Prince George's Stadium at 6:35 p.m. Frederick, managed by Ryan Minor, plays at Myrtle Beach at 7:05 p.m. Delmarva, and its first year manager Buck Britton, opens at home hosting Asheville at Perdue Stadium at 7:05 p.m. The Norfolk Tides host Gwinnett on Friday night.

Frederick has released its opening-day roster and others will be released later today. Norfolk's opening day roster will be official tomorrow afternoon. Here is what we have on the four rosters as of early this afternoon:

NORFOLK

Pitchers: Jayson Aquino, Josh Edgin, Andrew Faulkner, Jason Gurka, Donnie Hart, David Hess, Jhan Mariñez, Tim Melville, Yefry Ramirez, Joely Rodriguez, Tanner Scott, Matt Wotherspoon, Jimmy Yacabonis.

Catchers: Austin Wynns, Andrew Susac.

Infielders: Drew Dosch, Garabez Rosa, Luis Sardiñas, Ruben Tejada, Engelb Vielma.

Outfielders: Jaycob Brugman, Alex Presley, Joey Rickard, DJ Stewart.

The Tides rotation will be Ramirez, Hess, Yacabonis, Aquino and Melville.

Also keep in mind, as I said, Norfolk's opening day roster will become official on Friday and since this roster, a break-camp roster, was released, the Orioles signed outfielder Micheal Saunders to a minor league deal and he is expected to begin the year with Norfolk.

BOWIE

Pitchers: Keegan Akin, Chris Binford, Tanner Chleboard, Jay Flaa, Paul Fry, Luis Gonzalez, Matthew Grimes, Hunter Harvey, Jordan Kipper, Lucas Long, John Means, Ryan Meisinger. Luis Ysla.

Catchers: Martin Cervenka, Audry Pérez.

Infielders: Anderson Feliz, Corban Joseph, Adrian Marin, Aderlin Rodriguez, Erick Salcedo.

Outfielders: Austin Hays, Cedric Mullins, Ademar Rifaela, Mike Yastrzemski.

Means will start for the Baysox tonight and will be followed by Kipper, Akin, Binford and Harvey.

FREDERICK

Pitchers: Cristian Alvarado, Tyler Erwin, Brian Gonzalez, Lucas Humpal, Francisco Jimenez, Steven Klimek, Branden Kline, Jhon Peluffo, Ofelky Peralta, Cody Sedlock, James Teague, Matt Trowbridge, Alex Wells.

Catchers: Daniel Fajardo, Stuart Levy.

Infielders: Chris Clare, Alejandro Juvier, Alex Murphy, Preston Palmeiro, Jomar Reyes, Collin Woody.

Outfielders: Cole Billingsley, Randolph Gassaway, Ryan McKenna, Jake Ring.

The Keys will open with a six-man rotation. It starts with Wells and then Alvarado, Sedlock, Humpal, Gonzalez (followed in relief by Peluffo) and then Peralta.

DELMARVA

Pitchers: Michael Baumann, Cameron Bishop, Scott Burke, Matthias Dietz, Gray Fenter, DL Hall, Brenan Hanifee, Reed Hayes, Alex Katz, Zac Lowther, Zack Muckenhirn. Travis Seabrooke, Nick Vespi.

Catchers: Ben Breazeale, Jean Carrillo.

Infielders: Branden Becker, Trevor Craport, Seamus Curran, Mason McCoy, Kirvin Moesquit, Ryan Ripken.

Outfielders: Frank Crinella, Zach Jarrett, Tim Nichting, Will Robertson.

The Shorebirds have announced their first four starters with more to be announced later. They are in order Baumann, Bishop, Dietz and Hanifee.
