Alvarez, Clevenger, Roe and Hardy with team, plus Rangers lineup (updated)

ARLINGTON, Texas - Dariel Alvarez is with the team and could get a start this weekend with the Orioles set to face three left-handers.

He's batting .295/.333/.459 with six homers against lefties in the minors this season.

Alvarez will wear No. 12. A corresponding move has not yet been announced.

Steve Clevenger is also in Texas, rejoining the team after going on paternity leave for the birth of his daughter, Peyton. Clevenger hit in Chaz Roe's simulated game at Globe Life Park earlier this afternoon.

Roe-Throws-Orange-Sidebar.jpgRoe threw 25 pitches and said his shoulder felt good. He'll have a rehab game Monday.

Roe has been a solid reliever for the O's this season before dealing with shoulder tendinitis, which sent him to the disabled list Aug. 10. Roe posted a 2.43 ERA through July before watching it rise to 3.12 after three appearances in August.

J.J. Hardy has also joined the team. He had a platelet-rich plasma injection Wednesday and hopes to stay with the team for treatments on his strained left groin.
