It's the final day of Winter Meetings and the Orioles have yet to make a move. Dan Duquette and the O's still have holes to fill, perhaps most evidently in the outfield.
Buck Showalter has stated that Steve Pearce currently projects as the starting right fielder. Last season, Pearce played 40 games in the outfield, recording 75 putouts and five assists while committing no errors in 271 innings.
Don't remember his skills covering the green? This week, I'm throwin' it back to one of...
This week, Ian Desmond's name has been thrown around the rumor mill at the Winter Meetings. With just one year left on his contract, the Nationals have their ears open, listening to offers for the shortstop.
Desmond is one of the most powerful shortstops in the league. He has hit at least 20 home runs in each of his last three seasons and has won three straight Silver Slugger Awards. Coincidence? I think not.
This week, I'm throwin' it back to Desmond's furthest home run of the season, a...

Of course, Baltimore admired Nick Markakis' on-field performance year in and year out, but it was his quiet leadership and charitable work in the community that made Baltimore fall in love with him.
Just as Orioles fans began to love Markakis, the right fielder fell in love with Baltimore.
A week after making the decision to sign with the Atlanta Braves, Markakis took out a two-page ad in the Baltimore Sun to give thanks for Orioles fans and the city he calls home.

SAN DIEGO - While we all hung out and worked at the Manchester Grand Hyatt lobby and media workroom yesterday, technically the Winter Meetings started today. The O's day has been pretty quiet so far, but it's full hustle and bustle here.
Although the chaos of the Winter Meetings started early in the morning, everyone took a break in the afternoon to honor and remember Monica Barlow, the O's director of PR who passed away due to lung cancer.

By all accounts, 2014 was the season of walk-off wins for the Nationals. And no, I'm not just talking about the 10-game winning streak in August, Many of the Nats' walk-off wins came before and after the winning...

The colder it gets outside, the more fans miss warm summer nights at Nationals Park. The delicious food, great views, exciting home runs and ,of course, those moments that bring you to the edge of your seat.
Well, this week I'm throwin' it back to one of those edge-of-your-seat moments. In fact, this was more of a slowly-stand-up-with-your-mouth-gaping-open moment.
It's the bottom of the ninth in the nation's capital. The Nationals have a 5-2 lead, but the Mets have two on and the tying run...
Last night, Nick Markakis agreed to a four-year, $44 million deal with the Braves, ending his 11-year tenure with the Orioles organization.
There's a lot to remember when you look back at Markakis' time in Baltimore. The right fielder was a consistent force defensively and offensively, but arguably the most memorable moment of his career isn't an amazing catch or clutch home run.
After 1,352 games of wearing orange and black, Markakis had a priceless reaction when he heard "Your 2014...
