Think snow!
We're now just 168 days away from Christmas -- the most wonderful time of the year (besides baseball season).
And so, for the fifth year in a row, the Nationals will host a Christmas in July Toy Drive during this weekend's series against the San Francisco Giants.
As always, the program benefits the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program. The toys collected will be distributed to non-profit organizations and hospital pediatric wards throughout the region.

He may not be an All-Star yet, but rookie phenom Stephen Strasburg is collecting yet another unique honor.
The Syracuse Chiefs will be giving away Stephen Strasburg action figurines on August 27th before their game against Buffalo.
The first 3,000 fans who purchase a ticket to the game will receive a voucher for the must-have collectible. Strasburg will be depicted mid-windup in his Chiefs white home uniform.
The figurines are limited edition and hand numbered. Each mini-Strasburg stands...
Though Brooks Robinson Jersey night isn't scheduled until Saturday, July 17, there's been a change to the previously scheduled promo night at Camden Yards that's worth noting ahead of time.
The Orioles PR department has announced that a vendor error will delay the arrival of the replica Brooks Robinson jerseys promised on the promotions schedule on July 17.
But rather than simply giving fans a raincheck, the O's will compensate the inconvenience to fans by giving away Brooks Robinson...

On a scorching Wednesday morning in the nation's capital, All-Star Matt Capps and reliever Drew Storen could have been at home sleeping with the air conditioning blasting away. Instead, the late inning relievers got up early and braved the heat to teach nearly 100 children from the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington about baseball and healthy lifestyles.
"You get to hopefully teach these kids something that will affect them for the rest of their lives," said Matt Capps. "Kids are...
A few weeks ago, O's fans were wondering if Brian's Baseball Bash was still on for the summer of 2010. I assured you here in the Orioles Buzz that the Bash was still happening, but now I can even do you one better.
The floor is now open for sponsorship opportunities and individual ticket sales for this year's Brian's Baseball Bash.
Just as a refresher, this year's Bash is scheduled for Sunday, August 22 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Dave & Buster's at the Arundel Mills Mall.

Cue Vanessa Williams....
The Nats are teaming up with the Texas Rangers to promote an All-Star Final Man alliance. The two third basemen, Michael Young and Ryan Zimmerman, are asking you to send both of them to the All-Star Game.
Young and Zimmerman also share the bottom spot on each ballot, which lists the candidates alphabetically.
"Save the Best for Last" and vote Zimmerman/Young right now....and then vote over and over again.
Voting ends Thursday at 4 p.m.

Why does Zimmerman deserve to be an All-Star? Leave your reasons in the comment section below.
In the meantime, make sure to vote early, vote often and tell your friends to join the campaign.
Happy Fourth of July weekend O's fans! Hope you all had a great Fourth, as the O's finished up in Boston and head to Detroit for a three-game set against the Tigers.
You know the drill: Take a look at the photo below and let me know what the item is and where it's located in or around Camden Yards.
We'll continue to keep track of your points and announce another winner at the end of July, so don't forget to be the first one here in the Orioles Buzz each week to guess the 'Where in the...
This Sunday, Independence Day, the Nationals will honor their unique role in Washington by partnering with the USO on a special campaign for military families. Through the "Me and a Friend" campaign, the Nationals will invite the children of servicemen and women to the ballpark every Sunday afternoon.
"It's one more part of our responsibility that we take very seriously," said Nationals president Stan Kasten. We represent the national pastime in the nation's capital. Part of that...
Following the O's 1970 World Series 40th Anniversary game, all members of the Orioles and Nationals autographed the jerseys and hats they wore during that game, with Orioles players also signing their game-used batting helmets as well.
Those items were then put up for auction on Orioles.com for O's and Nats fans to bid on and take home - but the auction ends soon, at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, July 5.
Also look for jerseys worn by the members of the 1970 World Series championship team who...
Before we jump into Fourth of July weekend, we have to celebrate another 'Where in the Yard?' winner here in the O's Buzz.
During the month of June, this O's fan identified every image correctly and collected a handful of bonus points by providing extra O's trivia facts and being the first fan to guess correctly come a Monday morning or two.
Congrats to Scotty B for winning June's round of 'Where in the Yard?' here in the Orioles Buzz.
Scotty's victory makes for four different...
Throughout the season, the Nationals take several opportunities to recognize the achievements of African Americans in the game of baseball. While Jackie Robinson Day is one of those important celebrations, the Nationals will also recognize the accomplishments of other important African American legends like Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Andre Dawson and Ken Griffey, Jr. during "Black Heritage Night."
On Friday evening, several influential African-Americans will participate in a pre-game ceremony...
Whether you're into the political scene or just itching to get back to Nationals Park to see some baseball, the Congressional Baseball Game might be for you.
This evening, at 7 p.m., members of both parties will settle the score on the baseball diamond instead of in the U.S. Capitol. Tickets are just $10 and proceeds benefit the Washington Literacy Council and The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington.
For over a century, Republicans and Democrats have come together to enjoy the...
After visiting Cooperstown, NY for the first time last weekend, I give you this picture for this week's Where at Nats Park.
First, identify where this Hall of Famer is honored at Nationals Park.
For bonus points --
Tell me something interesting about his career.
And take a photograph of this at Nationals Park and post it onto MASN's Facebook page.
Good luck!

Meet Matthew Kaminski, organist for the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field.
Kaminski began playing the organ when he was five and eventually studied music at the University of Arizona and Georgia State University under the tutelage of some of the world's finest musicians.
But Kaminski is also a baseball fan. Born in Chicago, Kaminski recalls Harry Caray's 7th inning stretch as the highlight of the games he attended as a child.
When the Braves offered him the organist position last season,...
They're old and retired, but barely a few days old. You've probably seen them at the Yard and wondered if they're here to stay.
They're the retired number discs dotting the upper deck in left field at Camden Yards.
As part of a series of ongoing upgrades and enhancements to Oriole Park, the Orioles have fixed all six retired Orioles numbers, as well as a blue and white 42 for Jackie Robinson, to permanent perches in the seating bowl.
The retired number statues peppering Edward...
Don't forget to pick up your free Express today to get a "K" poster for this afternoon's Strasburg start.
Wouldn't it be awesome to see these pop up in unison all throughout the park after each strikeout?
The Nationals now also have a coordinated "K" sign display below the Miller Lite sign on the giant HD scoreboard.
On another note: If you're skipping work today or heading to the park early, the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) will offer free skin cancer screenings to...
"It was really cool...a grand slam."
Those were the words of a ten year old patient at Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children who unexpectedly met Matt Capps and Ryan Zimmerman on Tuesday.
Noah recently had his appendix removed but he's eager to get back out on the baseball field. The young first baseman, who tries to emulate both Albert Pujols and Ryan Zimmerman, wanted to know what it took to become a major league ballplayer.
"You just tell them to have fun and work hard," said...
