We began playing Where at Nats Park in early January and many of you have contributed to the fun. We're going to keep it going into the new season, but I wanted to get an offseason tally to see where we stand.
We have a clear winner in NatsNut. She provided nine correct answers over the past twelve weeks. Congratulations to her!
I'm still trying to see how a prizing system might work and what prizes might be available, so hold tight on that but keep playing! And go play Fantasy...
On Saturday, the Nationals honored season ticket holders with special photo opportunities and a town hall meeting with manager Jim Riggleman.
Fans could take photos with all of their favorite Nationals including Ryan Zimmerman, Adam Dunn, John Lannan and Nyjer Morgan, as well as with new faces like Pudge Rodriguez and Brian Bruney.
At the town hall meeting, fans asked questions directly to Riggleman and Opening Day starter John Lannan.
Fans wanted to know about final roster decisions, game...
The 2009 Orioles Yearbook is out already this season, and this year's is a good one. The gray "Baltimore" road jersey is pictured on the cover in front of the classic O's brick backdrop.
Inside you'll find bios for the various members of the Orioles ownership and front office (Here's a fun fact you may or may not know: author Tom Clancy is actually the Vice Chairman of Community Projects and Public Affairs for the O's).
Following the front office are pages for the manager, coaches...
Get your Adam Jones baseball cards, T-shirts, photos, and baseballs ready for an autograph, as the Orioles centerfielder will be the first Bird to participate in an O's autograph series brought to fans by Wendy's.
The young slugger will be at the Wendy's on West Nursery Road in Linthicum, Maryland (1589 West Nursery Road, Linthicum, MD 21090), signing autographs and posing for photos with fans from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10.
At Wendy's, you'll likely find that Jones is every...

Don't miss Melvin Mora T-Shirt Tuesday tomorrow night at Camden Yards. The first 10,000 fans (15 and older) to arrive at Oriole Park on Tuesday, June 9 will receive a free orange Melvin Mora O's shirt.
Tuesday is also Ollie's Bargain Night, which features upper reserve tickets for the basement price of just $8.

The O's are also running a ticket promotion that features some nice giveaways in connection with purchasing tickets for four games at...
It's no secret that the Orioles' plan for the future is to acquire young talent and develop them in the team's farm system.
O's fans are seeing the fruits of that labor in players like...
Nolan Reimold (2nd round in 2005)
David Hernandez (16th round in 2005)
Brad Bergesen (4th round in 2004)
Nick Markakis (1st round in 2003)
Chris Ray (3rd round in 2003)
Jim Johnson (5th round in 2001)
and Brian Roberts (Sandwich pick between 1st and 2nd rounds in 1999).
...with guys like Jake Arietta...
Not long before Nolan Reimold hit his seventh homer with the Birds Tuesday night, we noticed the sky above Oriole Park's stadium walls was a brilliant orange.
"A good sign?" one of our multimedia producers asked. "Must mean the O's are going to win."
As our jokes about the "good omen" faded into the sounds of the crowd five stories below our windows, BAM, Reimold hits another HR.
Despite Mora's would-have-been-two-run-shot that was taken away by a fan interference call, it's good...
Each Thursday, MASN airs a new "Covering the Bases" segment with a different Oriole during that night's game. Throughout the game, fans get to peek inside the childhoods, early baseball days, and adolescent years of their favorite Birds courtesy of baby photos, stories from coaches and anecdotes from family members and friends.
Tonight, MASN is Covering the Bases with still new Oriole catcher Matt Wieters.
Before MASN really breaks it all down for you tonight during the O's broadcast,...
Friday, June 12: Orioles Floppy Hat Day
The First 25,000 fans (21 and older, as this promo is sponsored by Miller Lite) will receive an Orioles Floppy Hat giveaway. From the picture on the website, it also appears as though the hat is reversible, in case you want to wear your floppy hat often enough that you'd want to switch things up.
Was anyone finding that a problem before?
Friday is also Student Night, which features dirt...
Bobblehead nights at Oriole Park usually tend to do two things:
1. Get lots of fans to come out to the Yard to support the Birds
2. Cause more than half of those fans to utter the phrase: "How come bobbleheads never really look like the person they're supposed to be?"
It's true, few bobbleheads bear an exact likeness to their namesake, and we do wonder why that bobbling head makes it that much harder to fashion a statue that accurately portrays the person whose name is painted on the...
If you just can't get enough of the O's at spring training, FanFest, 63 games at The Yard, 162 total regular season games, player appearances, Q&A's and video here on MASNsports.com...how about the O's minor leagues?
Here's a heads up that MASNsports.com's Orioles beat writer Steve Melewski will be bringing you some exciting minor league coverage from around the farm system over the next week or so in Birdland.
Steve will make sure you don't miss a pitch, starting with Aberdeen's...
The Orioles have announced a new ticket offer scheduled to start next month on July 12.
Now no matter where you're from, O's fans will have the chance to say they reside at 2110 Eutaw Street, at least during Orioles games, by purchasing tickets in the Eutaw Street bleacher section, which will be dedicated to a pair of young O's who hold a lot of the team's future promise in their skillful gloves: Nick Markakis and Adam Jones.
The O's have combined Markakis and Jones' uniform numbers...
It's finally here. Adam Jones Bobblehead Night.
You're excited. You're ready to get here early - or at least you were before the sky opened up into a downpour in downtown Baltimore. And a few of you have even said you know right where you'll put yours.
But what goes into a bobblehead night at Camden Yards? - A good bit of time, consideration, photos, and discussion, according to Orioles Director of Public Relations Monica Barlow with input from Manager of Programs and Promotions Stasia...
Before long I'll be heading to the ESPN Zone in Baltimore's inner harbor to check out Nolan Reimold's Q&A session scheduled for noon and spanning an hour over lunchtime to 1:00 p.m.
Reimold will take part in an interactive Q&A session with fans led by O's Radio Network broadcaster Joe Angel. Afterward, he'll sign autographs, pose for photos and talk with fans.
If you've never been to an Orioles Q&A series event at the ESPN Zone, I'll tell you they're definitely worth your lunch...
When he's sitting down, you don't really notice that Nolan Reimold is a towering 6'4'' and a not-so-lanky 205 pounds.
His casual jeans and unassuming gray polo matched his easy demeanor as he worked his way through his first major community appearance at the ESPN Zone this afternoon the way he might work a 3-2 count--on his toes but with a confident eye.
With the exception of a few nerves held carefully in check by an even attitude that's carried him through the greater scrutiny and...
You'll likely either really like this post or you'll hate it. That will all depend on how you feel about Twitter.
If you hate it, pretend this post doesn't exist, enjoy watching the Orioles on MASN HD against the Phillies, and have a great weekend.
If you're a Twittermaniac--and I'm by no means declaring myself to be, but it's nice to keep in touch with O's fans all over the world--read on.
Browsing TweetDeck from my desk in the MASNsports.com WebStudio this afternoon, I started...
What a game to have traveled to Philadelphia to see. Saturday night's win against the Phillies made for an exciting night, and it was nice to find that I didn't have to enjoy it alone.
O's fans came out in respectable numbers to support the Birds at Citizens Bank Park this weekend, and the evidence was visible throughout the City of Brotherly Love during the day before the game and all around the ballpark by nightfall.
I saw more than a few "Markakis" shirts, received smiles and waves...
This Friday when the Birds come home to Baltimore to take on their local baseball counterparts, the Washington Nationals, their matchup won't be the only one taking place in Charm City.
The Oriole Bird and the Nats' eagle mascot, Screech, will compete once again in the ESPN Zone's second annual Battle of the Birds.
The birds first met in DC this year when the O's took on the Nats in the nation's capital in May where they competed in a series of events for the Golden Birdhouse...
If your weekend is still wide open and you were hoping to fill it with O's events, you're in luck.
This weekend is packed with promos and player appearances scattered from the Yard to the Harbor to Hunt Valley and more.
Promos at Oriole Park
Friday, June 26 - O's vs. Nats - Fireworks Night at Camden Yards features a free fireworks display for all fans following the game.
All students with a valid ID can also purchase $6 left field upper reserve tickets in honor of Student Night...
In case you haven't been able to catch up with the last week's worth of O's news beyond the win-loss column, here's a collection of links to fun articles and/or videos relating to the Orioles from the last few days.
ESPN noticed Nick's balancing talents
You might have seen Nick Markakis balance a chair on his chin in his biweekly video journal with the Baltimore Sun, but the ESPN the Magazine "Besides the Point" feature highlighting Markakis' unusual talent revealed that the right...
