Norris done after Dunn home run (O's lose 4-2)

Bud Norris turned in his shortest start as an Oriole today, lasting only 4 1/3 innings before coming out of the game. Adam Dunn hit a two-run homer in the fifth, the ball bouncing along Eutaw St., to give the White Sox a 4-1 lead. Jeff Keppinger lined to short for the first out, and manager Buck Showalter popped out of the dugout and signaled for left-hander T.J. McFarland. Norris threw 100 pitches, including 64 for strikes. He just wasn't sharp today. Norris allowed four runs and nine hits, walked one and struck out six. He's now allowed 17 earned runs over 20 2/3 innings in four home starts since joining the Orioles. Dunn homered onto Eutaw St., for the second time in his career. It also happened on June 28, 2009 off David Hernandez. It was the 75th home run overall on Eutaw St., and the 45th by an opponent. Nine balls have cleared the flag court this season, tying the season high set in 2012. Update: Jason Hammel threw two scoreless innings in his first relief appearance with the Orioles. Troy Patton is working the ninth with the White Sox leading 4-1. The Orioles are 0-for-9 with runners in scoring position today. They had runners on first and second with one out in the eighth, but pinch-hitter Henry Urrutia grounded into a 4-6-3 double play on the first pitch from reliever Nate Jones. Urrutia stayed in the game and is playing left field. Update II: The Orioles loaded the bases with no outs in the ninth against White Sox reliever Addison Reed and only scored once in a 4-2 loss. Ryan Flaherty grounded into a force, leaving runners on the corners with one out. Brian Roberts popped up to shallow right field, and pinch-runner Chris Dickerson never got back to the bag. He took off on the pitch and was standing on second base as the White Sox turned the double play. The Orioles were 0-for-11 with RISP today and 3-for-37 in the four-game series.
