Talk about a win/win for Nationals fans.
As you may know, Nats PR pro Lisa Pagano is running a campaign to raise $75,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) in 10 weeks. Two great events are approaching quickly and both will be very rewarding for Nationals fans.
This Thursday, you can purchase a ticket for the Mets vs. Nationals game at Nationals Park and $8 will be donated to LLS, the world's largest nonprofit organization dedicated to blood cancer research, education and patient services. Your $8 donation helps to fund life-saving research and important patient support services.
And all you have to do is watch the Nationals beat the Mets. Like I said, win/win!
The other event is "Night Among the Stars," a special live auction event featuring once-in-a-lifetime experience packages including Golf with Tyler Clippard, a professional photo with Ryan Zimmerman at the ballpark, dinner for four cooked by professional chef Kate Baltren of Brabo, and a lunch at ESPN Zone with Craig Stammen and John Lannan.
It's on Monday, June 7 at 7 p.m. at 19th. Tickets include three hours of open bar, passed hors d'oeuvres and the opportunity to bid on silent and live auction items. Tickets are available for $52 in advance by visiting standuptakenotice.com or $60 at the door. The first 150 people to purchase tickets will receive a complimentary gift bag.
