Bobblehead featuring MASN's Kolko, Werth among P-Nats' Fans' Choice finalists

The Single-A Potomac Nationals always put out one of the most impressive slates of giveaway items each baseball season, and we've got our eye on a possible 2017 bobblehead with a MASN connection.

For a second consecutive season, the P-Nats are planning a bobblehead giveaway based on a fan vote, sponsored by Loyal Hygiene Solutions. Best of all, you don't even have to attend a game in Woodbridge, Va. (actually, the voting will be completed by the time the new season opens at Pfitzner Stadium) in order to vote. The 15 finalists have been announced, and one of them is a dual bobblehead featuring MASN's Dan Kolko conducting a postgame interview with Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth.

Werth's postgame on-field chats with Kolko are things of beauty, mostly because you never quite know what the bearded veteran will say in his typical stream of consciousness style. Werth rarely keeps eye contact with his interviewer. He's thrown in pop culture references ("You go, Dan Kolko"), nicknamed teammates (remember the "D.C. Strangler"?), dropped the occasional obscenity to show his love of adoring fans and challenged his critics to plant one on his posterior.

If that's not must-see, post-victory TV, I don't know what is. Would make for a great bobblehead, don't you think? The first 1,250 fans through the turnstiles on Saturday, Aug. 26 get one - well, both Kolko and Werth in one bobblehead, if they prevail in the online fan vote.

But how does the Werth/Kolko tandem stack up against the competition in the 2017 Loyal Hygeine Solutions Fans' Choice Bobblehead Poll? Among its competitors are nodders featuring top prospects Erick Fedde and Victor Robles, NBA Hall of Famer and Osbourn Park High School alum David Robinson, 2004 Potomac Cannons star Joey Votto and 2014 Mills Cup-winning P-Nats skipper Tripp Keister. There's also a whiskered Derek Norris gnome featuring real hair, for those of you who feel like an all-beard battle, and a Bobble Llama. Poor Uncle Slam barely stands a chance!

But you know where our allegiances lie. And here's a little video reminder of the brilliant Kolko/Werth banter - you might say this "Mean Girls" reference is where it all started. You can vote here through Jan. 27.
