New Bells and Whistles

I just wanted to quickly introduce you to a few new features here at Nats Buzz. First, our new RSS feed is now available at http:www.//masnsports.com/nationals_buzz/atom.xml The other new addition that I wanted to mention was automatic approval of comments when you sign in. I figure many of you will be excited about this. Once you log-in for the first time, using Gmail, Yahoo, AIM, Facebook, Vox or LiveJournal, the site will recognize that you are a trusted source and allow you to publish comments instantaneously. That should help facilitate good discussion. You can also follow me for Nats Buzz tidbits on Twitter at @khudak11. Some other odds and ends: A 10 game homestand starts tomorrow at Nationals Park. Be sure to bring new toothbrushes for the Bring a Smile to Haiti campaign. The Nationals will collect toothbrushes throughout April at the Community Desk, located on the Main Concourse in Left Field, or at the Dream Foundation Kiosk, located in the Center Field Plaza. While the team will celebrate Major League Baseball's Jackie Robinson Day today, the Nationals will also celebrate the baseball legend during Friday evening's game against the Brewers. Be sure to check out the Jackie Robinson memorabilia, including a life-sized solid-wood statue of the legend, on display on the main concourse. Here's a quick link to a funny Under Armor video featuring Ryan Zimmerman. Lastly, you can purchase tickets to the April 25th Nationals game against the Dodgers to benefit the Children's National Medical center by visiting this link. The Washington Nationals Dream Foundation is partnering with the Children's Hospital to raise money for a world-class Pediatric Diabetes Care Complex. For every $24 ticket sold, $8 will support the creation of that new facility.
