Jimenez starting Tuesday vs. Yankees

NEW YORK - The Orioles' starters for the last three games of their series against the Yankees are no longer listed as TBA.

Ubaldo Jimenez will take the mound Tuesday night at Yankee Stadium, a game that's now going to air on ESPN. Bud Norris starts Wednesday afternoon and Kevin Gausman starts Thursday night.

(ESPN refers to Tuesday's matchup as a "Postseason Impact Game," which is an odd way of spelling "Jeter.")

Jimenez has made one start since Aug. 16, allowing two runs in five innings against the Blue Jays Tuesday night and earning the win in the division-clinching game at Camden Yards.

In six career starts against the Yankees, Jimenez has gone 1-4 with a 5.79 ERA over 32 2/3 innings. He's 0-1 with a 4.35 ERA in two starts this season, allowing five earned runs in 10 1/3 innings.

Jimenez is 1-2 with a 4.24 ERA in four starts in the Bronx, allowing 11 earned runs in 23 1/3 innings.

Brandon McCarthy, Shane Greene and Hiroki Kuroda start the next three games for the Yankees. Wei-Yin Chen opposes Michael Pineda tonight in the series opener.

The Orioles have clinched the season series against the Yankees for the first time since 1997, going 11-4 overall and 4-2 in the Bronx. Their current .733 winning percentage against the Yankees is the third-best mark in a single season in franchise history.

The Orioles have won each of the first five series this year.
